![]() They have a similar thing, think it’s called ‘maintenance agreement’. Yeah the upscaling and slow mo is a cool set of features! Interesting on the update support, it’s a bit weird they structure it like that without a monthly subscription mitigate that.įor example I’m studying 3D motion design part time alongside work, learning Cinema 4D & Redshift. So would love to hear your guys experience in using either, as I’m not sure which to go for? Also welcome other recommended software, just these two seemed to be brought up the most after chatting to folk. But the portion it work on looked great.įor the Premiere & AE bundle, Neat Video is the same price as Topaz at $200. Neat Video’s demo is slightly difficult to fully judge as it’s limited to a certain resolution/portion of a frame. I’ve trialled both and Topaz (whilst I don’t fully know how to use it yet) has got some great results. However Topaz is interesting on the AI side, as I won’t say no to something that can cleanup but also bring out some more detail. Neat Video seems to have a great rep and I’m a big fan of being able to use it inside of Premiere & After Effects, whereas Topaz is a standalone program. I’m mainly after the denoising side of things, whilst Topaz has some additional cool features through different AI models - I don’t see myself making use of them. Once I apply that and return to Lightroom Classic, I make any deeper changes I want to make to the photo. For people that get paid to edit film, video, television, etc. Then, using LRC, I bring the TIFF into Sharpen and sharpen as needed. I apply the changes which, when done, will return me to LRC. Then, I adjust settings in Denoise as needed in case it's too strong/not strong enough and I'm happy with the photo. LRC gives me this option so I'm not sure how you'd go about this with Capture One. Then, if the photo appears noisy or unsharp (let's assume a bit of both) I first open Denoise from LRC using a copy of the photo as a TIFF (300 res, uncompressed, 16-bit). I disable sharpening, enable lens correction and CA correction. I make basic adjustments to my RAW file in Lightroom Classic such as getting exposure and white balance corrected if needed. I'll explain my workflow though in the chance you do own it: Sony Alpha Rumors - find out what's coming nextĭo you own either? If not, I'd be willing to see if it would work for your photo if you want to send a RAW file for me to test.
